Do I Own a Recalled Keurig Coffee Machine?

If you own a Keurig coffee single brewing machine, you should check to make sure that it has not been involved in a nationwide recall after there have been several reported burn injury incidents.

According to NBC News, the manufacturer is recalling more than 6.6 million versions of the single-brew machines after reportedly receiving about 200 reports of hot liquid escaping from the brewer, including 90 reports of burn-related injuries.

The recalled coffeemakers reportedly have an identification number starting with “31” printed on the bottom, and were sold online and in stores in the U.S. and Canada between 2009 and 2014.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall last month.

Injured by a Defective Product?

If a defective product has injured you, you can hold a manufacturer liable for your injuries through a lawsuit. Compensation obtained from a lawsuit can be used to pay for rehabilitation and therapy.

Remember, burn injuries and other severe injuries can require long-term medical care. You should not have to suffer, because a manufacturer allowed a product to be sold that is dangerous. Visit our website and fill out a contact request form or call our office.

We hold manufacturers liable when they put defective products out for sale. There is a standard of safety that must be met when it comes to consumer products—companies that do not place the safety of customers first must be held accountable.
