Were You Injured by a Defective Stryker Hip Implant?

November 17, 2014

If you suffered injuries because of a defective hip implant, you need to continue reading, because there was a massive settlement recently.

According to Bloomberg, Stryker has announced a $1 billion settlement to resolve injury lawsuits relating to its recalled Rejuvenate and ABG II hip implant devices.

The devices were recalled in 2012 after victims complained of pain, swelling and metal poisoning. Stryker reportedly faced 4,000 consolidated lawsuits in New Jersey state court and federal court in Minnesota.

The settlement will reportedly pay $300,000 to patients who had the devices surgically removed. To qualify for the settlement, a victim must have had his or her hip implant removed before November 3, 2014.

Payments are expected to be made by the end of 2015.
